چکیده

Histidase catalyzes the irreversible nonoxidative deamination of histidine to urocanic acid. This reaction (Equation 1) has been studied in mammalian and bacterial preparations (1). Although enzymes which carry out similar deaminations of other amino acids (notably aspartic acid) have been described, to date no detailed studies of the mechanism of the process of nonoxidative deamination have been reported. The Metabolism of Histidine

The mechanism of and possible cofactors involved in the straight deamination of histidine remain unknown. Neither pyridoxal phosphate, established as a cofactor in transamination of many amino acids, nor biotin, implicated in the straight deamination of aspart,ic acid, apparently plays a role in this reaction (1). Ichihara et al. (2) have reported low levels of histidase in the livers of rats w...

ELUCIDATION OF pK VALUES FOR ACTIVE SITE OF HORSERADISH PEROXIDASE AND BINDING STUDY OF INTERACTION WITH N-PHENYL BENZHYDROXAMIC ACID USING A SPECIAL DIFFERENCE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC TECHNIQUE

The binding behavior of a competitive inhibitor, N-phenylbenzhydroxamic acid (BHA) against horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was studied in order to understand and predict the interaction mechanism of hydrogen donors with the enzyme. The dissociation constants of the complexes of HRP-BHA, HRP-donor and HRP-BHA-azide were estimated at specified conditions by difference spectroscopy. The binding s...

Investigation of melt distribution reactions, thermobarometry and minerals chemistry of amphibols and plagioclase leucosome, melanosome and mesosome in Takab Hornblend bearing migmatites, northwestern Iran

The process of migmatitization in the Ghareh Naz has resulted in the formation of various rate of partial melting and eventually the formation of a large spectrum of metatexite and diatexite migmatites. Mineral chemistry studies by EPMA method shows that amphibole composition is magnesio-hastingsite and has a metamorphic origin and feldspar composition is andesine to oligoclase. Effective react...

Purification of histidase from Streptomyces griseus and nucleotide sequence of the hutH structural gene.

Histidine ammonia-lyase (histidase) was purified to homogeneity from vegetative mycelia of Streptomyces griseus. The enzyme was specific for L-histidine and showed no activity against the substrate analog, D-histidine. Histidinol phosphate was a potent competitive inhibitor. Histidase displayed saturation kinetics with no detectable sigmoidal response. Neither thiol reagents nor a variety of di...

The Effect of Raw Material Ratios on the Fe-TiC/Al2O3 Composite Formation Mechanism

Ilmenite, aluminum and graphite can be used to produce in-situ Al2O3/TiC–Fe composites which are used as cutting tools. Few publications can be found in the literature that discusse the effect of molar ratio of aluminum and graphite on the Al2O3/TiC–Fe formation mechanism. Therefore, the present research is designed to make the issue clear.  To achieve this goal, at first, the mechanism o...
